How we use your information

What we keep

• Your name, trade, employer and contact details, and your login if you have one.
• The checks we must make before you start: date of birth, right to work, and your CSCS and other cards and training.
• Your address and an emergency contact, in case you are hurt.
• Health information only where safety needs it: medical notes at induction, hand-arm vibration (HAVS) records, and any accident.
• Site records with your name or signature: inductions, daily briefings, toolbox talks, RAMS, permits and timesheets. Site photos may show you.
• When you sign in or out of site: the time, and your phone's location at that moment, to confirm you are on site. The app does not track you at any other time.

Why

To run our projects and keep their records, to meet health and safety and right-to-work law, and to pay you. This is part of working on our sites (your contract, our legal duties and our legitimate interest in running our projects), so we do not ask for your consent.

Who sees it

People working on the job see names and trades. Your personal details (date of birth, address, cards and medical notes) are seen only by our office. We share site records with main contractors, clients and the authorities only when the project or the law needs them. The app's information is stored securely for us by our software providers. We never sell it.

How long

As long as the project and the law require (accident records at least three years), then it is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it: speak to your supervisor or the office. Records the law makes us keep cannot always be deleted; we will tell you if so. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
